Grace and peace be multiplied to each of you.
As the presiding prelate of the newly founded New Covenant Churches International Fellowship, allow me to welcome you to an assignment/charge that is pastor-church driven. The theme for our fellowship is Creating a Culture that Changes Churches as we know it. It is my prayer that you prayerfully and carefully consider the things that we as a fellowship are about as we do and become ministry in this 21st century.
There are four major questions that push us beyond being just another gathering only once a year. The questions that catapult us for pastor/church business are: How can we make you better? How can we keep you going? How can we broaden your horizon? How can we renew and restore your charge? These questions embrace our mission statement which is "A Fellowship that enhances, encourages, educates and expiates."
"Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching."Hebrews 10:25 NIV
Psalm 133 weighs in like this: "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment poured on the head, that ran down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron [the first high priest], that came down upon the collar and skirts of his garments [consecrating the whole body]. It is like the dew of [lofty] Mount Hermon and the dew that comes on the hills of Zion; for there the Lord has commanded the blessing, even life forevermore [upon the high and the lowly]." (Amplified Bible)
You will note in the Psalm passage where it is clearly stated that the Lord commanded the blessing in the place where there is unity. We have some of the most anointed gifts who have joined us as co-laborers to empower and equip pastors.
Our great love for pastors will be felt in the way we do business, administer the Holy Sacraments and in how we collaborate with each other in meeting the needs of the people in the body of Christ. Join us as this unified anointing places us humbly in the presence of our King and the power of the Holy Spirit refreshes our lives for being church in this present age.
I look forward to meeting and seeing each of you.
Blessings and peace,
++ Larry Donnell Leonard, Sr.
